Blue collars for Clinton? What on earth for?

Tue Feb 12, 2008 at 03:06:53 PM PDT

I'm just amazed that any union, union member or blue collar worker would for one second consider the Clinton's as some kind of benefactor. What have the Clintons done for blue collar America?

79% of Democrats Nationwide Glad Joe Got Beat

Thu Aug 10, 2006 at 08:00:38 PM PDT

Just caught this while visiting Taegan Goddard's site.

According to a new Zogby Interactive Poll, "nearly four out of five Democrats (79%) were happy the former Democratic vice presidential nominee was knocked off by Lamont...Just 12% said they were not pleased with the results of the primary, which riveted political junkies across the nation. Another 10% of Democrats said they were not sure what to think"

Fantasy Straw Poll: Dean v Gore v Clark

Thu Sep 22, 2005 at 03:22:13 PM PDT

What if we limited the straw poll race to the top three vote getters:  Wesley Clark, Howard Dean, and Al Gore.

Let's take the top three vote getters and put them head to head in a Straw Poll Semi-Final.

Is the time ripe for a Gore re-election?  Should Dean hang up the chairmanship hat?  Can a general like Clark clean out the White House chickenhawk coop?

Given these choices for 2008, who would you vote for?

Waynesville NC baptist church expels democratic members

Right Wing Intolerance contagion spreading:

ABC Affiliate in Western NC reports:

Religion and Politics Clash
Religion and politics clash over a local church's declaration that Democrats are not welcome.

East Waynesville Baptist asked nine members to leave. Now 40 more have left the church in protest. Former members say Pastor Chan Chandler gave them the ultimatum, saying if they didn't support George Bush, they should resign or repent. The minister declined an interview with News 13. But he did say "the actions were not politically motivated." There are questions about whether the bi-laws were followed when the members were thrown out.

The Report from Northeast Tennessee: "We're NOT all Sheep!"

Fri Oct 22, 2004 at 10:33:32 AM PDT

Greetings from Northeast Tennessee!
At the suggestion of A. Whitney Brown, from Air America, who is here with us at our local campaign headquarters, we are calling for your help!  Northeast Tennessee, specifically the Tri-cities has long been heralded as a Republican strong-hold, but thanks to the grassroots movement supporting John Kerry, advocating regime change from the Bush Administration and trying to educate our community on progressive views of the issues, we are making a difference.
The latest from the streets is that we WILL carry the Kerry/Edwards ticket in our county and we have worked to close the gaps in the state-wide polls to 49-48% favoring Bush - but we have hope for better.
We have just received the latest lists from our election commission that have the names of newly registered voters in Washington County and were excited to see names of likely Democrat voters totaling over 177 pages!
